Yaundi Maeweather, MA - Program Director
As the Chief Executive Officer of Desert Angels, Yaundi has over 15years of experience in both behavioral and mental health services. Yaundi enjoys addressing the therapeutic needs of children, adolescents and their families. With experience among diverse populations, Yaundi strives to individualize services to the needs of the individual and/or family. She has several years of experience handling crisis situations and utilizing appropriate clinical judgment. With the best interest of clients in mind, Yaundi utilizes motivational interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Techniques along with guided self-help to assist clients in achieving their goals. She operates from a strength-based perspective with a belief that there is some good in everyone. Yaundi encourages others to utilize their strengths to achieve their goals. Yaundi obtained her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2009. She has plans to pursue her doctorate in General Psychology.
Dr. Erika Collins-Frazier, LPC, NCC - Clinical Supervisor
Dr. Erika Collins-Frazier is a graduate of Grand Canyon University with a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership and an emphasis in Mental Health. She has a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology as well as a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Argosy University. She studied at California State University for her undergrad and earned a degree in Sociology with a minor in Industrial Organizational Psychology. Dr. Collins-Frazier is independently licensed through the state of Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as a Licensed Professional Counselor. She is a National Certified Counselor through the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). She is a certified trauma specialist, individual (CCTS-I) and has earned a certificate from the Arizona Trauma Institute. She works with the seriously mentally ill and at-risk youth populations.
