interventions individualized for each child
Children who meet criteria for placement at Desert Angels are those diagnosed with a severe emotional disturbance (SED). They have demonstrated the inability to function in a less restrictive environment and are in need of additional therapeutic supports. Most often, they demonstrate impaired interpersonal/social functioning, impaired educational functioning, impaired judgement, impulse control, as well as a lack of family/community support.
Exclusionary criteria include a history of arson, sexual assault and or predatory behaviors.
Upon admission, residents will meet and greet staff, review policies/procedures and expectations.
Residents will complete initial assessment as well as treatment plans.
Residents will be assigned sleeping arrangements and appropriate storage.
